Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking a tour with Malaika Explore Safari. By confirming a booking you agree to the conditions set out below.

Last updated: 1 November 2026

1. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once Malaika Explore Safari has received a completed booking enquiry and issued a written confirmation by email. A deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required within 7 days of confirmation to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due no later than 60 days prior to the tour departure date. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

2. Pricing & Currency

All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Prices are per person based on double occupancy unless specified. Malaika Explore Safari reserves the right to adjust pricing prior to confirmation in the event of significant changes to fuel costs, park fees, accommodation rates, or currency fluctuations. Once a booking is confirmed and deposit received, the price is guaranteed.

3. Cancellation by the Client

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to malaikaexploresafari@gmail.com. The following cancellation fees apply based on the number of days prior to departure: 60 or more days — loss of deposit only; 30–59 days — 50% of total tour price; 15–29 days — 75% of total tour price; 14 days or fewer — 100% of total tour price. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation.

4. Cancellation by Malaika Explore Safari

Malaika Explore Safari reserves the right to cancel or modify a tour due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, government travel advisories, or insufficient bookings. In such cases, clients will be offered an alternative tour of equivalent value or a full refund. Malaika Explore Safari is not liable for any additional costs incurred by the client, including flights or accommodation booked independently.

5. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in any tour package and is the sole responsibility of the client. We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure, covering medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and loss of personal belongings. Malaika Explore Safari accepts no liability for costs arising from the absence of adequate insurance.

6. Health & Fitness

Clients are responsible for ensuring they are in suitable health and physical condition for their chosen tour. Some itineraries involve walking on uneven terrain, early morning starts, and exposure to wildlife at close range. Please consult your doctor regarding recommended vaccinations and health precautions for travel to Tanzania. Malaika Explore Safari reserves the right to exclude any participant whose health or behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others.

7. Liability

Malaika Explore Safari acts as an agent for hotels, lodges, transport operators, and other service providers. We accept no liability for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by the acts or omissions of third-party suppliers. Our total liability to any client shall not exceed the total amount paid for the tour. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

8. Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements

Clients are solely responsible for obtaining a valid passport and any required visas for entry into Tanzania and any transit countries. Malaika Explore Safari accepts no responsibility for clients who are refused entry or who fail to obtain the correct documentation. Most nationalities can obtain a Tanzania e-Visa online prior to travel. Please check current requirements with the relevant embassy or consulate.

9. Photography & Privacy

Malaika Explore Safari may photograph or film tours for promotional purposes. By participating in a tour you grant us permission to use such images or footage in our marketing materials. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify your guide at the start of the tour. We will not share personal client data with third parties except as required to fulfil your booking.

10. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from a booking shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tanzanian courts. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
